To document this wonderful first year (and many more to come), I have decided to write a blog. Now, normally I hate writing blogs. I tried very much to get into it but never really had the discipline to do so. Some of that may be contributed to the fact that each blog was a class requirement in grad school, but nonetheless, I have never been a huge fan of authoring one. However, as I was making a list (like I always do whenever I feel overwhelmed, thanks to a roommate from college who did the same) of what I needed for the classroom, various ways to keep in touch with people, and keep track of resources, I realized that a blog would be perfect. I could easily keep track of web resources and upload pictures, share some of these resources with others, write down experiences as a teacher (and of right now, a first year teacher), and not have to lug around a scrapbook. So this is the plan and I am going to desperately try to stick to it.
I am in the process of moving away from my home away from home--I went to the same college for my undergraduate and graduate degree and leaving after five years is both a happy/sad moment--and closer to my school. I am preparing myself for all this moving I have to do for the next month--home, classroom. My next couple of posts may be sporadic but bear with me...school is just around the corner (again, 39 more days until students!).
And so, I say unto you...I pledge to try to not quit on this blog, to enjoy every minute, and to have a wondrouspectacularyawesome school year!
Oh, and before I forget, here I am: Miss Teacher. And this is my diary blog.
